Be aware before it hits, do an early screening before it’s too late

This article is 3 years old

Did you know that one in four Malaysians faces a high risk of death due to a critical illness? If your are suffering from a critical illness, the chances of living independently can be lost in a blink of an eye.

Till today the public awareness to perform an early detection of critical illnesses is still low. Breast cancer for example is one of the most common critical illness suffered by women aged between 45 to 64 years in Malaysia. Therefore, in conjunction with this month’s World Breast Cancer Awareness, let’s be more proactive in conducting early screening to curb this critical disease.

Early detection will provide a more effective treatment. Who is at risk of developing critical illness? What are the type of cancer treatment provided? What steps can you take to prevent cancer?
