Kuala Lumpur, 30 June 2020 – One of the most anticipated live events since the movement control order (MCO) is the ‘Pasca PKPP Sektor Pelancongan’ Seminar that was held today in Dewan Tun Hussein Onn. Sponsored by MATA (Persatuan Agensi Pelancongan Malaysia) and MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Convention & Exhibition), the Seminar is to congregate all key tourism industry players to have a dialog about employing the right SOPs in recuperating the industry soonest possible.

To cover the hall size over 10,800 square feet while attending to 500 delegates that comes in two sessions, the event organiser has opted for kipleLive Contactless and Face Recognition platform.

According to Ti Lian Seng, CEO of KipleLive, he said traditionally, an event will take up a large amount of manpower, money, time and paperwork. However, going with KipleLive, it automates many procedures while still complying with the new SOPs which ultimately saves a lot of resources, time as well as the environment.

Ti continued, “At KipleLive, we always strive to adopt the latest technology. This way we can ensure that even with large groups of attendees proceeding to the Seminar, it is done in an orderly manner without any bottleneck at the entrance. Reason is because our solution automates speedy thermal scan just under 0.8 seconds while maintaining an accuracy of 98% in body temperature reading.

“In today’s event, we have leveraged on Contactless Technology to verify all registered attendees to adhere to public event SOP set by National Security Council. By matching the face of attendees with the Photo ID given prior to the event, we have eliminated the use of physical tags and use Face Biometric as a secure digital verification to prevent unregistered guests. At the same time, it serves as a digital record of attendance. This helps us to strategize and plan the upcoming events such as concerts, travel fairs and exhibitions better in compliances with new SOPs,” said Dato’ Hj Mohd Khalid Harun, President of Persatuan Agensi Pelancongan Malaysia (MATA).

With the number of new Covid 19 cases that are gradually easing by the day while pioneering digital safety measures, KipleLive is already being implemented in workplaces, schools, factories and now in exhibitions, seminars, conferences as the new Event application and platform that also captures the journey of the attendees for contact tracing purposes.

In line with the Economic Recovery Plan, the government has now allowed live events to be conducted but with strict adherence to the new standard of operations (SOP). Seminars, exhibitions, workshops, conferences and even weddings are now allowed starting from today.
