The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll not just on the Malaysians but also on the economy. Key industries such as tourism, retail, property, manufacturing and many more were severely affected by the pandemic. Amid the crisis, the pandemic also evolved the way business and transaction interacts and hastened the digital transformation of many large Corporations and SMEs alike. New innovations in business models and technologies have been developed and implemented in a short time as we step into the “New Normal” era.
RISE, a regional corporate innovation powerhouse that aims to lift 1% of GDP in the region, together in the collaboration with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) will be organizing Malaysia’s largest virtual (100% online) hackathon with the aim to be Malaysian’s largest hackathon of 2020. Some of Malaysia's top corporations such as Celcom Axiata, Malaysia Airlines, Ecoworld, Guocoland and Pos Malaysia will be supporting this agenda as well.
Armed with problem statements from real business cases, RISE and its partners will share these challenges from Telecommunications, Tourism, Logistics, Real Estate and Retail Industries in order to seek support from innovators across Malaysia to solve them.
There are also prizes worth up to RM60,000 to be won.
