Phase 3 launch of EASI Covid-19 Protection Online Assessment 2020

EASI-CP is an online learning platform launched in March 2020 during the lockdown. The platform, EDUKATE was specifically designed for Standard 4, 5 and 6 students using the Malaysian syllabus in dual languages – Malay and English. The subject covered are Science Mathematics and English. Phase 1: we offered the platform for free to all Malaysian students until 30 June 2020. In phase 2, cognisant of the school closure, we extended the free usage of the portal until December 31st 2020.

We have launched Phase III of the programme with an Online Assessment for all Malaysians for FREE. The “EDUKATE-ASTI School Initiative for Covid-19 Protection (EASI-CP) Online Assessment 2020” is an assessment to help students in Standard 4, 5, and 6 assess what they have learnt in this challenging year of the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects that are covered are English, Mathematics and Science. Mathematics and Science are offered in 4 languages which are Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin and Tamil.

This is a program organised by the Association of Science, Technology and Innovation (ASTI) in partnership with the Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia (Questions Developer), Yayasan Hasanah/Prihatin (Funding Partner), Learning Orchard (Portal Provider) and Excelsoft Technologies Pvt Ltd (ICT Provider).

The benefits of the EASI-CP Online Assessment are as follows:

  • Ascertains how much the student has learned in 2020.
  • Identify areas of strengths and weaknesses.
  • Helps students prepare for the coming academic year.
  • Useful tool for parent or teacher to plan the child’s learning future, especially for the coming year (2021).

The students and parents will receive the results and remedial reports to help them improve in their academic performance in the coming year.
