Orbix International School in Batu Pahat will be the first school in the area to offer the Cambridge International A Level Programme—a highly lauded curriculum recognised by universities and employers worldwide. The programme is the perfect launching pad to ready students for life at university and thereafter; beyond book learning, the course is designed to encourage independent research and critical thought and action. The campus in Batu Pahat is one of three campuses from Orbix Education Group.

A range of Science and Humanities subjects, all taught by qualified and passionate educators dedicated to nurturing bright young minds. The school will also be offering a scholarship for exceptional students. Students who score a minimum of 8 A’s for SPM are eligible to apply for a partial scholarship (50% of school fees) while those with 10 A’s and above with an excellent co-curricular record can apply for a full scholarship. The school’s inaugural intake for the A Level programme will be in January 2021.

Another first for the group will be the launch of lessons in Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all campuses. All Orbix schools will offer AI lessons as an extracurricular activity (ECA) conducted at AI Academy, an associate company of the group. AI Academy’s comprehensive syllabus was devised in collaboration with iFLYTEK—a Chinese giant in the field of AI. It is the first school of its kind in South East Asia, teaching children aged six and up all there is to know about coding, programming, natural language processing, big data analysis and more.

Laboratories at AI Academy are furnished with state-of-the-art equipment such as robots to enhance students’ learning. The advanced technology provides feedback to teachers, allowing them to identify each student’s strengths and weaknesses, thus allowing them to improve upon their teaching methods that they may bring out the best in the students. Orbix students will have the option of AI classes as an ECA, while members of the public will be able to register for weekend lessons.

Parents and students keen to know more about the A Level Programme and AI lessons are welcome to attend a special briefing at Orbix International School, Muar on the 1st of December at 2pm and at Orbix International School, Batu Pahat on the 2nd of December at 10am.

Orbix International School, Batu Pahat will be hosting an Open Day for parents and children interested in schooling at Orbix on the 4th of December from 10am till 3pm. The campus at Muar will have its Open Day and the 12th of December (10am – 3pm).
