Acer unveils the 2-in-1 air purifier, acerpure cool in Malaysia

Since the pandemic outbreak last year, Malaysians have been staying indoors for longer periods than before. To help keep the air in our homes fresh, Acer today officially announced the availability of acerpure cool in Malaysia. acerpure cool is a 2-in-1 air circulator and purifier equipped with 3-in-1 HEPA filter paired with Ag+ Silver Coated Filter to purify and circulate air around a room.

“As we become more concerned about health and wellbeing, many people are also more conscious of the quality of the air that we breathe in. Acer Malaysia brought in our first 2-in-1 acerpure cool that purifies and cools the air at the same time so that you and your loved ones can breathe cleaner air be it at home or in the office. The acerpure cool continuously senses, assesses and improves air quality through its smart inbuilt technology,” said Johnson Seet, Director of Consumer Business, Product and Marketing, Acer Malaysia.

At the heart of acerpure cool is a 3-in-1 HEPA filter, which includes pre-filter, activated carbon filter and HEPA 13 main filter, to remove fine particles and impurities in the air, including pet hair and dander, dust as well as 99.97% of 0.3μm suspended particles and bacteriaⁱ. It also isolates harmful gases and removes odorsⁱⁱ. The Ag+ Silver Coated Filter used in acerpure cool went through extensive third-party laboratory tests to certify its efficacy in eliminating bacteriaⁱ and effectiveness against the activity of the H1N1 virus. This is to ensure that the acerpure cool minimizes users’ exposure to harmful bacteria and viruses.

Developed with homes, schools, and workplaces in mind, acerpure cool adopts a simple but modern design language with an intuitive LED touch panel and child safety locks. With its PM1.0 air quality sensor, acerpure cool supports real-time indoor air quality monitoring and the reading is displayed via 3 LED indicator lights of green, yellow and red color. The air purifier mode automatically adjusts its operation to ensure better purification of the room when poor air quality is detected. acerpure cool also releases negative ions to help remove harmful gases in the air such as formaldehydeⁱⁱⁱ, and captures solid particles such as dust (PM2.5) to effectively improve indoor air quality.

Supporting 90º up-down swing and 80º left-right oscillation, acerpure cool projects clean air up to 16m with full air circulation in a 27 m²room in three minutes. With a silent mode as quiet as 26dB, acerpure cool is able to purify and circulate fresh air discreetly. Available at select Acer official online stores (table 1) and Acer concept stores (table 2), acerpure cool will retail at RM1,299 with the offer of a free replacement HEPA filter worth RM199 is also applicable while stock lasts.

In conjunction with the arrival of acerpure cool, Acer Malaysia is holding an exclusive launch promotion on Lazada on 5 February 2021. During the promotion, acerpure cool is available at RM899 with a HEPA filter worth RM199 for future replacement thrown in for free. Thereafter, acerpure cool launch promotion of RM999 with an extra HEPA filter worth RM199 will be available at the select Acer official online stores and Acer concept stores from 6 until 9 February 2021.

Starting from 10 February until 31 March 2021, with purchase of any Acer laptop or desktop in the select Acer official online stores and Acer concept stores will be entitled a special offer to purchase acerpure cool at RM999 with an extra HEPA filter for future replacement.
