Celebrating beautiful moments with vivo and UEFA EURO 2020™

vivo is the official smartphone for UEFA EURO 2020™ and has announced its “To Beautiful Moments” campaign, bringing to life vivo’s passion for making every moment more magical for its users. With this campaign, vivo wants people to be present in the moment by connecting with loved ones virtually or giving their full attention to the game.

The advertising campaign aired on television and across the world on social media platforms sending the message to “give your phone a break, and be there for life’s beautiful moments.”

Proudly partnered with UEFA EURO 2020™, vivo aims to connect with and expand its worldwide user-base of over 400 million people. Being a brand that is deeply invested in like-minded passions and interests of its users, vivo also hopes to engage with football fans around the world.

The opening ceremony of UEFA EURO 2020™, presented by vivo on June 11 is creating a memorable experience for millions of viewers worldwide that are watching the tournament unfold.

The vivo Care program: vivo Dream Field Campaign
vivo Malaysia announced its vivo Dream Field campaign, where Malaysians are encouraged to share their football dreams and celebrate their passion for football together, and this includes the nation’s disability football athletes through a crowdfunding initiative. The vivo Dream Field campaign was launched across two phases – the vivo Care program and the ‘My Football Dream’ campaign. It aims to empower everyone to pursue their dreams and experience happiness while recording the beautiful moments during the UEFA EURO 2020™ tournament.

vivo Malaysia has its first phase of the vivo Dream Field campaign with its collaboration with Pan-Disability Football Club, a football inclusion program that enables young people and adults with any disability to participate in regular, organised football matches and coaching sessions in a safe and enjoyable environment. The club strongly advocates football as a social development tool for 10 classifications of people with a disability.

With this partnership, vivo released a heartwarming “Mimpi Tiada Batas” video which was shot on vivo X60 series that showcased the relentless courage and strength of the programme’s differently-abled football players during these challenging times. The video has been released on vivo’s official Facebook page.

Under the vivo Care Program initiative, vivo enables customers to play their part by purchasing smartphones through vivo’s official e-store, and with each purchase, vivo will be donating RM35 to the Pan-Disability Football Club. The funds collected will support them in building a dedicated training centre and facilities for disability football in Malaysia. The fundraising campaign will be running from 11 June until 11 July 2021.

“Disability is not a barrier and our passion for sports has no limits,” said Sunny Shalesh, Founder of Pan-Disability Football Club. vivo stands firm on its belief of empowering communities and enabling them to get through these difficult and unprecedented times. Thus this campaign truly gives opportunity for people from all parts of the world with different backgrounds to connect through football.

The biggest challenge that the football club has experienced during these unprecedented times is the lack of a permanent training ground as coaching sessions were previously conducted at various rented locations across Malaysia. Therefore, the funds collected through the vivo Dream Field campaign will enable the building of a dedicated training centre, known as the Dream Centre, for the players from the Pan-Disability Football Club and allow them to enjoy a permanent base. The funds will also allow for the purchase of additional equipment.

The #vivoSuperTime Challenge
With the #vivoSuperTime hashtag, users uploaded selfies and energetic videos of themselves to show support for EURO 2020 and their favorite national team and players.

On July 11 when the closing ceremony takes place, fans' photos and videos will be displayed in an engaging visual spectacle and broadcast live on social media.

Since announcing its official entry into European markets in October 2020, vivo has steadily expanded its presence across the continent. vivo plans to double its presence to more than 12 markets across Europe in 2021.

The #vivoSuperTime TikTok challenge started on 25 June and will last till 8 July. This challenge that is held by vivo Malaysia is calling on fans to create, capture and share the beautiful moments surrounding the tournament. Eight winners will stand a chance to win the latest vivo V21 Series and to be featured in the UEFA EURO 2020™ closing ceremony video.

  • Step 1: Register a verified TikTok account and follow @vivo_malaysia on TikTok.

  • Step 2: Record a TikTok video with the #vivoSuperTime TikTok filter and post it on TikTok feed based.

  • Step 3: Participants must include caption with hashtag #vivoSuperTime, #ToBeautifulMoments, #CheerNOW and tag @vivo_malaysia.

  • Step 4: Participants must ensure that their TikTok account is set to public.

Open to all Malaysians, the #vivoSuperTime challenge is to celebrate their passion and love for football. The winner announcement will be made on vivo Malaysia’s official Facebook page within the first 4 weeks from the end of the TikTok challenge.
