Food Bank Project to help the public

As the pandemic has been in effect for more than a year, it has only been spreading tremendously, taking away lives as well as livelihoods. Additionally, various clusters and variants have simultaneously affected many individuals and endangered lives.

Due to this drastic situation, Malaysian citizens are going through extreme stress in managing their finances. Many are struggling in allocating their family expenses for daily food purposes. Apart from this, many companies have closed their operations and this has led to many losing their jobs which has brought an end to their monthly income.

Not forgetting the young ones, all schools have been shut down and lessons are being taught through online means. Even though students are facing difficulties adapting to online classes, teachers have risen to the occasion by handling the teaching and Learning (P&P) with students. The online classes thus indirectly engages fellow students in increasing their knowledge on utilizing the latest technology in education.

The current situation has also inspired a number of individuals in assisting the Government to help ease the public’s burden. Nagarethnam Welfare Organization (Pertubuhan Kebajikan Nagarethnam) has worked hard to provide the best assistance during these trying times. You may find previous contributions that the Nagarethnam Welfare Organization has organized below:

  1. Food Distributions for:

a. Single mothers

b. Disable (OKU)

c. 300 families with low income

  1. Food aid for Indigenous Community at Kuala Sungai Lah Chenderiang Tapah

  2. Deepavali project:

a. Food aid for 120 families

b. Cash donation for 50 Disabled/ Senior citizen worth of RM5,000

  1. Grocery for 20 Christian families for:

a. Christmas

b. Back to school project with 20 students

c. Free mobile tablets for SJKT Ladang Tuan Mee students for PdPR session

  1. Chinese New Year and Hari Raja lunch treat for old folks homes and Pertubuhan Amal Dan Kebajikan Anak-anak Islam Tersisih Selangor

  2. Free assessment books for SJKT Sepang, SJKT Ladang Kinrara, SJKT Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi and SJKT West Country Barat Kajang students

  3. Tuition fee for 3 fatherless children in Tapah (12 months in specific)

  4. Food aid for 12 single mothers for a year.

  5. Medical aid (Hospital bills) for Patients diagnosed with leukemia and breast cancer

  6. Medical aid for a Stroke patients (supply nutren diabetik cans for 3 months)

  7. Rental aid for single mother, cancer patient and families who have lost job due to pandemic

  8. Completed food distribution for 350 families during EMCO 3.0

  9. Supplied medical gas Oxygen cylinder for covid-19 patients in Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang

Currently, the Nagarethnam Welfare organization feels downhearted looking into the situation faced by fellow residents. Unanimously, the organization has agreed on conducting a Donation Drive in assisting the financial management of the public.
