New Advanced Technology Centre Sdn. Bhd. empowers digital micropreneurs

This article is 3 years old

The rising young entrepreneur, Mohd Shuhazwan Bin Mohd Zain, was once awarded as one of the top 30 Global Accelerator Programme (GAP) Cohort 03 alumni from the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) which has produced thousands of new start-ups since it was first established in the year 2014.

Starting his business from scratch, he built his own company known as New Advanced Technology Centre Sdn. Bhd. (NATECH). NATECH specializes in providing high-quality services ranging from technology outsourcing, technology consulting and system integration, advertising, and marketing for various private and even government organisations. Because of its proven capabilities, the company attracted many established organisations all over Malaysia.

Apart from that, he also co-founded Koppa TV, a brand that has gradually become a renowned media platform for sports lovers with more than 29k active followers across the globe. With football as its main forte, it produces various daily content loaded with up-to-date facts and fun content using a casual and leisure approach to fulfil audiences' needs from various age groups.

Answering the call from the Global Accelerator Programme of going global, about a year ago, NATECH went out of its comfort zone and appointed a team to meet the CEO and founder of Prime Commerce, also an alumnus of MaGIC’s GAP Cohort 03, a fantastic technology brand that has a strong potential to build demands among business owners especially MSMEs. As a service-oriented business, the collaboration will be an added value for NATECH on top of its existing services.

Flying back to their motherland, the team never lowered their expectations of Prime's potential. They believed that it is a powerful tool that has a bright future ahead. Therefore, NATECH strategised a plan to commercialise Prime Commerce and set a strong base for it in Malaysia. Somewhere along the way, they started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Driven by Shuhazwan and his capable team, NATECH managed to team up with one of Malaysia's largest local telecommunication companies to adopt Prime Commerce with their technology and help it penetrate the Malaysian market through a well-established channel.

NATECH continues to create more and more achievements, one after another. The company that started around 10 years ago is now soaring high and holds a market value of RM76.2 million. All thanks to MaGIC for providing the opportunity to accumulate valuable knowledge and build a network with many other incredible start-ups.

Coming from a humble root, NATECH is always passionate about helping new start-ups like it used to be to reach their desired goals. Just recently, NATECH has been granted as an 'Appointed Service Provider' by SME Corp. Malaysia under the Micro Connector initiative to provide technical assistance for micro-business owners, especially the inclusive group including youth, women and B40. It is indeed an honour for NATECH to be entrusted to become part of the programme and help other businesses grow. Every penny from the grant is invested in crafting the best training module syllabus and providing the most high-end technology solution to help participants bring their business to another level.

NATECH founder and chief executive officer, Mohd Shuhazwan Bin Mohd Zain spotted recording his welcoming speech for Unlock Your Business to E-tail participants.

Due to the unexpected COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses, especially those from the MSME industries, struggle to make their business survive. Not to mention thousands of businesses that have folded throughout the implementation of the multiple MCOs for not sustaining. The rest are left with no choice other than fully transforming their business operation to an online platform to allow potential customers to purchase their products and services in response to the crisis. However, since the pandemic was so abrupt, some were not equipped with the necessary knowledge and capacity in using online platforms and ended up being at equal risk.

Armed with the knowledge that he acquired from MaGIC and his talented resources, Shuhazwan seized the opportunity from SME Corp. Malaysia and came out with a free training programme to expose micro-business owners to the digital platform and provide assistance in using technology to upscale their business. On top of that, taking into consideration their limited human resources and budget capacity, other than training and guidance, participants will also enjoy 3 months free subscription to the Prime Commerce ecosystem, which can help them handle their business online mainly in terms of distribution, web development, Customer Service Management (CRM) and Point of Sales (POS).

He hopes this programme known as 'Unlock Your Business to E-tail' that will be running for 3 months starting from Sept 22nd 2021, can spread awareness on the benefits of digitalising business, especially at times like COVID-19, and produce more successful digital entrepreneurs.
