Persatuan Kebajikan Bintang Utara raises money for Police front-liners' PPE

This article is 3 years old

As Malaysia continues its fight against Covid-19 and moves into the endemic phase, it is essential that everyone is kept safe, especially our front-liners.

The Persatuan Kebajikan Bintang Utara (Star of The North) representing Freemasons from the Northern States of Peninsula Malaysia recently responded to assist the Royal Malaysian Police with the delivery of face-shields. Our policemen being amongst the frontliners, deal with the public daily, rendering them extremely vulnerable to the virus.

A donation drive was carried out amongst its members to purchase 10,000 face shields.

Members of the Society - Dato’ Jeyaraj Ratnaswamy (right in the picture) and Mr Arthur Yeong (left) represented the Society in presenting 5,000 pieces of the face-shields to the Chief Police Officer of Perak - Commissioner Dato’ Pahlawan Mior Faridalathrash bin Wahid (middle).

This Handover Ceremony took place at the CPO’s Office at the Perak Police Headquarters, Ipoh, on the 15th of October 2021 at 3 pm.

The Society plans to distribute the remaining 5,000 pieces of face-shields to the Royal Malaysian Police in Penang and Kedah in the coming weeks.

This contribution will hopefully add to and help ensure that our Police front-liners are always kept safe whilst performing their duties.
