Acer tops Chromebooks shipment globally in Q4 2021

Although global Chromebook shipments declined due to component shortage, the latest International Data Corp (IDC) statistics show Acer is top of the global Chromebook market with 1.3 million shipments and 26.3% market share in 4Q21. 

In Malaysia, Acer is the top PC company according to IDC Quarterly Personal Computing Devices Tracker Q4 21. Acer also leads the local Chromebook market share, a position it holds since 2017. In 2021, Acer Malaysia’s Chromebook revenue increased 1994% in Q3 2021 compared to the corresponding quarter in 2020, supplying devices to more than 800 education centers.
