Why we still need degrees

It's 2022 and witnessing many changes, we’ve gone through so much in the past few years especially the lock down, pandemic, sudden information overload on vaccines, expected and unexpected deaths, the entire human race trying to deal and address mental health issues - so much. 

Having said that, education was never left the same too. In fact, it was one of the least issues addressed which was left to just assimilate or integrate all these few years. We have a few batches of students who have not experienced college or university as the pandemic happened. At that moment, the right thing to do was to not gather in big groups as they usually would. It has left a void in these kids and getting back into normalcy has caused them an uneasy feeling- as they should. We are still recovering from the pandemic so to speak. 

Once the regulators decided that it was ready to come back to campus, we had difficulties convincing these students that it was to come back to get on track pursuing their tertiary education. Somehow when the pandemic happened the method of teaching was changed to online via zoom or team sessions. When methods were altered the relevance of a degree was questioned and doubted. 

Here’s our take as to why it is still relevant to get a degree and experience college as a young adult. First and foremost, graduating and qualifying with a bachelor’s degree is a dream and a rite of passage that many encountered before and have always been satisfied with. It is basically how your life’s foundation will be based on before you go on to greatness. Determining which field you wish to be is equally as important and essential to your success.
