JobStreet ‘hijacks’ KLIA2 asking travellers to ‘Seek Better’

This article is 2 years old

KUALA LUMPUR: JobStreet, Malaysia’s leading online employment platform by SEEK, sent a team to KLIA2 dressed in beachwear, carrying beach props on Saturday, 17 December 2022, as part of their SEEKBetter campaign to encourage Malaysians to seek better career opportunities.

In a statement, the company said: "On average, people spend about one-third of their lives working - that’s about 90,000 hours over a lifetime. When we spend so much time at work, it only makes sense that we enjoy what we do and that we lead a productive and fulfilling working life. That is why JobStreet is encouraging people to ‘seek better’, and that can be in the form of a new job that makes you happy or opportunities to learn and grow in your careers. As the saying goes, the best vacation is a better job! When you enjoy your job, every day will be like a holiday!”

JobStreet also launched the ‘OOTD Seek Better’ social media contest for up to 10 participants from Malaysia to win RM1,000. From 17 December 2022 to 15 January 2023, contestants are invited to comment on the contest post on JobStreet Malaysia ’s Facebook account with a Outfit Of The Day (OOTD) photo of them at vacation, along with the hashtags #SEEKBetter #JobStreetMY and with a caption on how they can SEEK Better with their job.

The social media contest comes in light of JobStreet’s goal to engage today’s workforce to seek better jobs and in turn, lead better lives. This is also in line with JobStreet’s ongoing development from a website that matches candidates and employers to a career partner to help people better themselves through seeking better jobs or through ways to become better professionally.

JobStreet is a subsidiary of SEEK, a diverse group of companies that have a unified purpose to help people live more fulfilling and productive working lives and help organisations succeed. With a strong presence across the APAC region, SEEK encompasses a strong portfolio in employment, education and volunteer businesses.

The contest is open to residents of Malaysia and each participant is allowed multiple entries to boost their chances of winning, where participants can stand a chance to win RM1,000.

A total of 10 winners will be selected from Malaysia and winners will be chosen based on their creativity by a panel of judges and will be contacted by JobStreet by SEEK via Facebook. Prizes are non-transferable and non-convertible.
