JTI Malaysia has been recognized as a Top Employer for the eighth consecutive year, acknowledging the company’s continued commitment and innovative approach to equality and wellbeing.

At the same time, the global JTI organization also received recognition as a Global Top Employer 2023 for a ninth year in a row. JTI is one of only fifteen global Top Employers recognized for outstanding Human Resources (HR) policies and practices worldwide by the Top Employers Institute.

“This certification sends a strong message to our current and future employees. We will always continue to progress and improve our people’s wellbeing, supporting greater diversity and inclusion, and to provide our colleagues with an equal opportunity to develop their career,” said Khoo Bee Leng, JTI Malaysia General Manager.

One of the flagship practices at JTI Malaysia is the New Ways of Working (NWOW), first implemented in 2021 and is aimed at empowering employees to work from outside the office up to 50% of the time. In addition to freeing up employees’ time from commuting and traffic congestion, employees are also able to benefit from an improved work-life balance especially for parents with young children, providing them with the flexibility to balance work and family commitments, particularly during their young children’s formative years.

Karen Chong, Director of People and Culture, JTI Malaysia said, “Our people are the ones who made us who we are today, and they are the ones who will continue to define us tomorrow. We are a Top Employer because our top employees make us one.”
