Innov8tif joins Malaysian delegates to support Vietnam's Smart City initiative

Subang Jaya, 31 March 2023 — Innov8tif Solutions Sdn. Bhd., a leading provider of digital identity (ID) verification solutions, announces its participation in Vietnam's Smart City Asia 2023. Innov8tif will be a part of the Malaysian delegation to Vietnam, led by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).

The event, held from 13th to 15th April 2023 will focus on supporting Vietnam's smart urban development projects, primarily focusing on Thu Duc New City — a newly established city within Ho Chi Minh City formed in 2021 by merging several districts to create a hub for innovation, technology, and education.

Innov8tif will represent Malaysia in showcasing proprietary ID Verification technologies that combine artificial intelligence (AI) and fraud prevention techniques. This technology will help Vietnam build a comprehensive digital infrastructure for its smart city initiatives.

"Despite being based in Malaysia, we have developed solutions that prevent fraud across ASEAN using local ID documents," says Joe Seah, Chief Commercial Officer of Innov8tif. He explains that ID verification is a crucial stepping stone for enabling various digital activities, such as bank account applications, bill payments, fund transfers, license renewals, and more.

"Many online platforms and digital apps are now ready to serve customers 24/7, but authenticating users and transactions still remains a bottleneck. Across ASEAN, industries still rely heavily on paper and manual-based processes to verify users," he adds.

"Implementing this second layer of digital infrastructure is needed to build a holistic smart city and the digital economy as a whole — and this layer is inclusive of eKYC, credit checks, digital footprint analysis and more. We aim to streamline this process, helping companies save cost, time, and resources while adhering to regulatory requirements."
