Lalamove: Delivering joy to senior citizens, this Parents’ Day

In conjunction with the upcoming Parents Day in July, Lalamove, the leading on-demand delivery platform, recently organised heartwarming events at Rumah Charis Old Folks Home in Puchong and Pusat Jagaan Impian Syimah in Johor, which are care facilities for senior citizens.

This event reflected Lalamove’s dedication to support local communities through its CSR programme, Deliver Care. The programme witnessed generous donations from Lalamove's business clients, including Caring Pharmacy, Corvan Asia Sdn Bhd, White On White (M) Sdn Bhd, Paradigm Global Marketing and OneWorld PPE.

Caring Pharmacy graciously provided free health checkups to the elderly

In a remarkable display of support, Caring Pharmacy lends their expertise to uplift the well-being of the residents. Skilled healthcare professionals came together to perform a variety of tests and consultations, covering everything from blood pressure and blood sugar to general health.

The pharmacy chain generously donated RM500 vouchers for the facilities’ caretakers on top of goodie bags with healthcare products and Lalamove’s official merchandise for the residents.

Spreading love to those who need it most

“This event reflects Lalamove Deliver Care’s mission of empowering local communities to deliver positive changes. We believe that when we work together, we can deliver positive change to build a better future in the local communities that we serve. This event exemplified these core values, leaving an indelible mark on the residents and our team,” said Jane Teh, Lalamove Malaysia's Managing Director.

“In addition to gathering health supplies, I took the time to ask residents about ways we could further support them. To my surprise, a number of them mentioned things like haircuts and massages! These are things that could bring a little bit of joy and calm to their lives. It really goes to show how much a small gesture can mean to someone in need,” she said.

Meanwhile, Corvan Asia Sdn Bhd, a trusted brand of electrical appliances, contributed a range of essential items, such as vacuum cleaner, air fryer, and bread maker. White On White (M) Sdn. Bhd donated essential goods such as rice, canned food and biscuits. Paradigm Global Marketing sponsored t-shirts that bring comfort and style to the residents. Additionally, OneWorld PPE contributed medical face masks and hand sanitisers. These remarkable donations will not only improve the residents’ daily lives but also foster a sense of happiness and comfort within the nurturing environment of their home.
