Digitalising Traditional Businesses with Boost: Long Farm Meat Sees Positive Increase in Sales through Going Cashless

This article is a year old

When Long Farm Meat Sdn Bhd (Long Farm Meat) began their retail business selling non-halal meat in 2008, one of the many challenges it faced was reaching out to their customers and giving them the best possible service.

In 2018 when digital transactions started growing, Long Farm Meat gained interest to become part of the cashless community. Upon becoming a Boost Merchant in 2019, they noticed the positive feedback given by their customers’ preference in using eWallets as a main mode of payment.

Through Boost, Long Farm Meat was able to see positive increase in their sales volume by going cashless and noticed a speedier payment process by their customers. This made it easier for them to provide a pleasant shopping experience for all their customers as Boost accepts payments from all participating banks through the Boost DuitNow QR.

Long Farm Meat was recently named Big Shots winner for March last year. “We are extremely pleased to be chosen as a Big Shots winner. The cash prize of RM8,888 is definitely a sign that we are on the right path. We look forward to more campaigns like this where both customers and merchants can benefit from. Thank you, Boost!,” added Valerie.

Valerie, the person in charge of Long Farm Meat said, “It is very important to us to provide our customers high-quality non-halal meat. We first started out as just a feed manufacturer and now we have expanded to become farmers. After a long thought process to ensure our non-halal meat are healthy, we were inspired to open our first retail outlet.”

Long Farm Meat has been providing healthy non-halal meat to the community at a reasonable price. Paying close attention to the environmental hygiene, it is one of Long Farm Meat’s strict policy to make sure their products are safe for consumption.

Their business expansion through going cashless gave them the opportunity to reach out to those in need every Chinese New Year. During the New Year, they would reach out to orphanages and old folks’ homes as a gesture to share blessings and give back to the community.

All consumers can help their favourite local businesses stand a chance to be a BigShot winner. All they have to do is pay for their purchases using the Boost DuitNow QR code.
