Join the Mental Health Awareness Convention 2023 and Break the Stigma

This article is a year old

Mental health is a serious and growing concern in Malaysia. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 4 people experience mental illness at some point in their lives. In Malaysia, 1 in 3 citizens suffer from mental health problems. The prevalence is highest among low-income individuals and those between the ages of 16 and 19. Perhaps you should ask yourself how healthy is your mental health?

To address this pressing issue KiniEvents and Everyone Can Help Out (ECHO Malaysia) are proud to present the Mental Health Awareness Convention 2023, a one-day event that aims to provide meaningful dialogue and discussion about mental health issues faced by our society.

“This convention brings together so many people of different walks of life. It is a chance for us to discuss the struggles we have individually and as a society," said Samiksha Banu, Founder at ECHO Malaysia.

The convention will be held on July 22, 2023, from 9am to 5pm at the Grand Hall, Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus. It will feature keynote speakers, panel sessions, workshops and interactive activities.

The Convention will be officiated by YB Puan Fadhlina binti Sidek, Minister of Education Malaysia.
