Allianz Malaysia team sweat it out in preparation for third Allianz Media Badminton Open 2023

Kuala Lumpur, 4 July 2023 – Allianz Malaysia Berhad’s badminton team had its final training cum sparring session at the Sports Arena Sentosa recently in preparation for the third Allianz Media Badminton Open 2023 team event competition which will be held next Wednesday.

This year will feature 10 teams inclusive of Allianz Malaysia (two teams), compared to last year’s edition which featured seven teams. The new additions are Bernama and Malaysiakini, which is making a comeback this year. The other teams in the fray are The Star, New Straits Times, China Press, Kosmo, Astro and Sinar Harian.

“This annual media tournament is something I look forward to as badminton is a sport I thoroughly enjoy. Its also gives us a chance to engage with our media friends away from work. As I always say, work hard, play hard and we look forward to a bigger and better tournament this year,” said Sean Wang, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Malaysia Berhad who is also the team captain.
