Minister of Human Resources Officiates HRD Corp’s National Day Celebrations

HRD Corp held its National Day Celebration at the Wisma HRD Corp, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday. The Semarak Merdeka: Sambutan Hari Kebangsaan Yang Ke-66 celebrated the diversity and unity of the organisation’s employees with a vibrant and fun-filled event. Yang Berhormat Tuan V. Sivakumar, Minister of Human Resources, officiated the ceremony.

During his speech, YB Tuan V. Sivakumar said that Malaysia is a shining example of communities of different cultures, religions, and ethnic groups living in harmony. He also added that the 66th National Day of Malaysia coinciding with HRD Corp’s 30th anniversary is symbolic and signifies the pivotal role the agency has played in strengthening the country's human capital development efforts.

At the event, the Minister of Human Resources also announced HRD Corp’s ambitious goal to plant 1,000 trees by the end of year 2024 in multiple locations throughout the country, signifying the agency’s commitment to environmental sustainability through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
