KUALA LUMPUR – The Marini’s Group and its multi award-winning establishment, Marini’s on 57, marked their 11th year milestone with an anniversary party last week that saw invited guests and members of the public joining in the revelry.

The theme for this year’s party was “House of Marini” and guests were entertained to music by the Marini’s on 57 team of  DJ Timmy, percussionist Calvin Clarke and saxophonist Ezi.

The acclaimed dining and entertainment group also announced the return of its Viva Marini Bartending Competition, which has opened for submissions and will run until 16 November 2023. Professional and home bartenders and mixologists are invited to impress the judges with their most creative concoctions. To participate, all they have to do is send in an original cocktail recipe based on the “Celebration” theme and post a creative video of themselves preparing the cocktail on Instagram.

Ten finalists will then be shortlisted for the finalshowdown on 20 November 2023 at the Marini’s on 57 Lounge. The selected  bartenders will then have to present two cocktails – their competition submission and another themed cocktail using certain spirits at the live event.

A panel of judges will taste and vote to decide the winner of the 2023 Viva Marini Bartending Competition. The top bartender  will walk away with a cash prize of RM10,000 while second and third place winners will receive RM5,000 and RM3,000  respectively.

“The Marini’s Group has always been committed to providing quality dining, entertainment and service to our guests at all  our establishments and we would like to express great appreciation to them for giving us the opportunity to create those  unique experiences and memorable moments whenever they dine with us,” said Cavaliere Modesto Marini, founder and  owner of The Marini’s Group.

“We are also excited to announce the second edition of the Viva Marini Bartending Competition and look forward to  witnessing more high levels of creativity and skills from our bartending industry professionals this year. Our judges were  impressed last year and we hope the participants will up the ante this year,” he added.
