30 Imperium Heroes United with The Blue Ribbon Global Society to Plant Trees for Earth Day

In a bid to foster environmental consciousness accordance to Earth Day, Imperium College recently organised a tree planting activity in collaboration with The Blue Ribbon Global. With a total of 30 participants, including students and staff, the programme aimed to educate and inspire action towards sustainable practices.

Held at the scenic Garden Spring in Cheras, the programme adopted a multifaceted approach towards environmental stewardship. Participants delved into the intricacies of biodiversity by learning about 30 different plant species and their respective medicinal and health benefits. From traditional herbs to edible plants, each plant unveiled a unique aspect of nature's bounty, enriching the participants' understanding of the interconnectedness of ecosystems.

Encik Mohd Rizal Bin Ibrahim, Head of Imperium Centre of General Studies and Contemporary Language said "As stewards of our planet, it's imperative that we take tangible actions to preserve and protect our environment. Through activities like tree planting, we not only contribute to the restoration of ecosystems but also cultivate a deeper sense of responsibility towards our Earth. This tree planting activity is a testament to our commitment to sustainable practices and the well-being of future generations."

Balance of Nature and Active Participation in Environmental Conservation Efforts

Central to the day's agenda was the hands-on experience in tree planting. Guided by experts, participants had the opportunity to learn different planting techniques, ensuring the optimal growth and vitality of each sapling. As shovels met soil, a sense of purpose and camaraderie filled the air, symbolising the collective commitment towards environmental restoration and conservation. 

Additionally, participants also explored into the principles of permaculture and food security, gaining valuable insights into sustainable agricultural practices.
