Leading on-demand delivery service, Lalamove, officiated its first Driver Centre in Sarawak, located in Kuching. This is a big leap for Lalamove’s mission to fuel local economic growth and offer new income opportunities for Sarawakians. The grand opening was graced by Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, Minister of Transport Sarawak.

Managing Director of Lalamove Malaysia, Jane Teh said “Lalamove’s solutions are tailored to meet the dynamic needs of SMEs in today’s digital landscape. We have achieved significant revenue and user growth by addressing their unique challenges and fostering continuous innovation”.

“Our platform delivers value to all stakeholders: users benefit from fast, affordable, and flexible logistics, driver partners enjoy flexible earning opportunities, and the platform itself continues to evolve and expand,” she said in a press statement.

Empowering Local SMEs and Sparking Income Opportunities for Drivers

Nestled right in the heart of Kuching, the new Driver Centre is about to become the go-to spot for locals looking to boost their income through the Lalamove platform. This vibrant hub will offer all the essential tools, training, and support you need to kickstart your journey as a driver partner.

Whether you're handling personal errands or business needs, with speedy, budget-friendly options, a variety of vehicle choices, real-time tracking, and the ability to manage multiple stops, Lalamove is all about making your delivery needs a breeze in the region.

Driving Economic Growth and Technological Advancement

Lalamove’s expansion aligns with Sarawak’s goal to achieve 100% online service delivery by 2030, as emphasised by Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunications Datuk Liwan Lagang during a recent Cyber Security Workshop organised by the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA). This initiative supports Sarawak's target to boost economic growth from RM146 billion in 2022 to RM282 billion by 2030, contributing to the region’s digital transformation.

"We are committed to being a part of Sarawak's vision for economic expansion and digital transformation," Jane Teh continued. "Through the Lalamove on-demand delivery platform, we aim to contribute to the creation of a more robust digital economy and support Sarawak's objective of achieving a fully digital service delivery framework by 2030. “With the opening of the Kuching Driver Centre, Lalamove is excited to engage with the community and foster growth through its platform.

So buckle up, Sarawak – Lalamove is here to accelerate your digital journey and fuel a bright economic future!
