KWC Fashion Wholesale celebrates Merdeka 2024 with “Tradisi Kita” Kebanggaan Malaysia” Campaign

KWC Fashion Wholesale welcomes more than 250 participants, that all dress up in traditional and ethnic attire to celebrate this Merdeka at Taman Kolonial, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad. This vibrant event aims to celebrate Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and traditional wear while marking the 67th anniversary of Independence with an array of exciting activities.

In collaboration with LOCCO for the Keretapi Sarong 2024, this vibrant ‘KWC Fashion Walk’ have successful showcased 26 sets of traditional wear with a twist of modern elements as an inspiration to highlight that KWC as the ultimate destination for fashion needs related to the Keretapi Sarong event.

10 Participants also walk away with RM50 KWC shopping voucher and sponsored products from various sponsors as the ‘Best Dress’ award. The event also feature kompang, traditional dance performances, and a lively Joget Lambak by Zin Zeena & Zin Miamaya where everyone dance together with joy and fun.

The primary objective of this event is to promote traditional attire among attendees during the Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations. In partnership with LOCCO and TikTok Shop Malaysia, we aspire to position KWC as the premier fashion destination for the upcoming Keretapi Sarong 2024 event, while also highlighting our ‘KWC Fashion Walk’ and ‘KWC TikTok Shop Live’ sales promotions.

Key Highlights:

1. KWC x TikTok Shop 'Merdeka Grand Sales' Live Streaming

Partnering with TikTok Shop Malaysia, we have featured live promotions from 100 KWC shops, offering enticing deals and attractive cash vouchers to grab, maximizing exposure and engagement for all shoppers.

2. ‘Cara Pakai Busana Tradisi Kita’ Educational Talk

This insightful session, led by En Nur Afifi Bin Mohamed Taib of UiTM, educate the attendees on the diverse varieties and cultural significance of traditional wear and accessories.

As part of the festivities, we have launched the ‘Tradisi Kita, Kebanggan Malaysia’ Photography Contest, open to all photographers. With prizes worth RM1,000 up for grabs, this contest invites both professional and amateur photographers to capture the best shots of traditional wear showcased at the event.

Wendy Lam, KWC’s Advertising & Promotions Manager, expressed her excitement about this year's Merdeka campaign: “We are glad that KWC are collaborating with Tiktok Shop Malaysia and LOCCO for the first time to bring KWC Fashion Show out of the mall, so we can showcase what we have to offer to the public.
