COMMENT | Anwar and Guan Eng, snap out of it
COMMENT | Here they go again.
It seems that Pakatan Harapan leaders cannot talk to one another anymore, but have to send messages to each other via the media.
I am referring to DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng’s recent remarks that Shafie Apdal and Anwar Ibrahim remained his favourites to be the next prime minister.
In response, Anwar did not pick up the phone to question Lim on his statement but told the press instead that “I will garner enough support to be the prime minister candidate for Pakatan Harapan”.
My reply to Lim is that “I can”, the PKR president said.
It is unfortunate that in the final lap of the Sabah election campaign, Lim has to bring up the prime ministerial candidate issue.
As a veteran, Lim would surely have known that it was a sensitive one which could ruffle the feathers of the Anwaristas.
True enough, Lim earned a public rebuke from Sabah PKR Youth information chief Razeef Rakimin, who described Lim’s support for Shafie was an “act of betrayal” of Harapan...
