LETTER | Happy birthday Wan Azizah

LETTER | A birthday wish worth sharing in celebration. A very blessed birthday to Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, wife of our 10th prime minister Anwar Ibrahim.

May God Almighty shower her with good health and long life.

Indeed on her 70th birthday, a nation of moderate Malaysians are sending her bouquets of good wishes to recognise ‘Kak Wan’, as she is fondly regarded, as an icon of womanhood.

A daughter, mother, wife, and politician, she has endured so much that none can beat her on account of her pains, sorrows, determination, and perseverance.

Indeed her husband has aptly expressed all the reasons why the nation also joins the PM in sharing the joy of wishing Wan Azizah a happy birthday.

Surely Malaysians can be proud of this vibrant, quiet, yet resolute lady who shows us the path to being great daughters, mothers, wives, and above all being a gift for the nation as we pick up the pieces to reconstruct a better Malaysia.

Indeed, it is a blessing for Malaysia as we wish her many more years to savour the fruits of her labour, sacrifices, and pains.
