'EC - the national purveyor of fraud'

This article is 12 years old

VOXPOP 'It is not surprising that BN is now completely out of tricks and has only two cards to depend on - fraud and money.'

'Probe red and green ICs on electoral roll'

vox populi small thumbnail Starr: There is absolutely no doubt that the electoral roll has been 'tampered' with and yet Election Commission (EC) chief Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof has the audacity of acclaiming that it is the "cleanest" in the world.

Such a blatant statement only serves to add insult to injury, not to edify its reputation in any way.

Really, he and his deputy have put the Election Commission into disrepute and public ridicule. The public will not heed their statements anymore, however relevant they are, as the public have lost their trust in the commission completely.

Anonymous_40c3: From the incident in Sabah, our nation's security is paramount and the existence of such illegal voters should be investigated no matter what their political affiliations are.

To put it on record, the failure of any party responsible of taking measures to right the wrong will be considered a treasonous act if in future, it is established that there are unqualified illegal voters in this country whom we have not taken action against.

Our security must never be compromised ever again in the way that the Sulu intrusion has been shown.

Anonymous #97893788: At the polling station, the holder of these identity cards (IC) should not be allowed to vote even though their names are on the list. Period.

Political parties should have people there to make sure that they check the MyKads accordingly. Even those with MyKads that have an expiry date should be barred from voting.

Anonymous #19098644: BN is completely out of tricks and has only two cards to depend on - fraud and money.

The only way for the rakyat to reclaim their rights and their government is to turn out overwhelmingly on the election day and reject BN once and for all.

Only a new government will be able to clean up and remove the mess made by this Umno regime.

TehTarik: EC - the national purveyor of fraud. The blatant refusal of the EC to clean the electoral role is deliberate. They had almost three years to clean the electoral roll, but have done nothing.

The EC is nothing more than another Umno division. I will not be surprised if the opposition refuses to accept the results of GE13.

Taikohtai: The EC is an absolute sham and the perfect epitome of BN's mess. Not only do they earn a ‘gaji buta' and are ‘haram' (not permissible), they actively perpetuate election fraud to keep BN in power.

And when compared with the Australian EC, they are really nothing but criminals of the lowest order.

Voiceless: Indeed, if these voters had become citizens, their IC numbers should have been changed accordingly.

Anonymous #61972288: Isn't that strange? Everyone seems to be born on Oct 7, 8, and 9...

MCA launches video against 'Superman's vulgar culture'

Anonymous_40a7: I heard Hew Kuan Yau aka ‘Superman' speaking last week during the DAP dinner in Balakong, and in my opinion, he was rude and vulgar but in a funny and entertaining way.

Anyone who is offended by his speech should be much more forgiving, as it's not like he was cursing your family or whatever.

Taxpayer: How about MCA polluting the next generation with corruption and applying for government land for themselves and their families?

But I suppose that is considered good culture to MCA because they follow the footsteps of their political masters.

SS Dhaliwal: It's a case of the pot calling the kettle black. MCA has stooped so low that they cannot argue based on merit, but will embark on propaganda against "the man of steel" about issues that ruffle no feathers. Do they even have any substance anymore? I think not.

Takung: Bravo MCA, on your desire "to be in the vanguard to curb the proliferation of the vulgar culture". By the way, where were you when the menteri besar of Pahang made his famous gesture years ago?

Omega: The thing is, children these days are of the impression that a lot of the moral talks are highly farcical.

They have learned through the social media channels about the injustices in the society and when they asked their teachers to explain them in the context of moral education, most teachers may just make up a story for them.

After a while, even the teachers themselves become farcical.

KitaAkanSiasat: MCA, you had better make sure that party president Chua Soi Lek's extramarital affair does not become a model for the future generations.
