PAS to hold series of prayers to 'reject slander'
PAS is holding a series of prayers in several states, to reject "slander" against the party.
Its president Abdul Hadi Awang will lead one such prayer session at his home base in Marang tonight.
Prayers will also be held in Kampung Pandan tonight, and in Kedah, Sabah and Kelantan tomorrow.
The prayers in Marang will include solat hajat (prayer of needs), followed by a ceramah by Hadi.
PAS has been under fire over allegations that it received RM90 million from Umno. The party has denied this, but the matter is still being investigated by the MACC.
Meanwhile, the party is also staving off allegations that it paid RM1.4 million through a mediator, to settle Hadi's defamation suit against Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown.
The Marang MP had previously urged supporters to show penance by praying, fasting, reciting the Quran and charity, as a means of dealing with the attacks.
