Welfare aid – 'wakil rakyat' signature no longer required
Those applying for aid from the Social Welfare Department (JKM) no longer have to obtain signatures of their people's representatives for the application form.
Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Hannah Yeoh said the ministry made the decision following numerous complaints from applicants that the process was burdensome, more so if the MPs or assemblypersons had different political views.
