Christian civil servants to get unrecorded leave for Good Friday
Christian civil servants will be granted unrecorded leave for Good Friday beginning this year, according to Public Service Department director-general Borhan Dolah.
A letter on the announcement, dated April 17, was uploaded on the official PSD Facebook page this afternoon.
"The government has agreed for Christian public service officers to be granted one unrecorded leave day in conjunction with Good Friday beginning 2019, except for public service officers in states where Good Friday is already a public holiday," read the letter signed by Borhan.
The letter was addressed to government ministries, state governments, government statutory bodies as well as local authorities.
The Christian community will observe Good Friday tomorrow.
