This article is 5 years old

The Malaysian Anti-Cheap Liquor Movement is "shocked and disappointed" that the Health Ministry has decided to postpone the banning of compounded hard liquor.

Led by DAP Bagan Dalam assemblyperson Satees Muniandy, the movement's chief cited a letter issued by the ministry's Food Safety and Quality Department dated April 22 which states that enforcement under section 386A (2) of the 1985 Food Regulations has been postponed.
