IS-linked group 'abused' Adib's name to justify terror plot, says family lawyer
An Islamic State 'wolf pack' cell arrested earlier this month abused the name of the late firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim to justify their planned acts of terror.
A lawyer acting for Muhammad Adib's family in an ongoing inquest to determine the firefighter's cause of death told Malaysiakini that there is absolutely no link between their calls for justice and the IS-linked group's reported revenge plot to attack non-Muslim places of worship.
"Of course they have abused Adib's name. There is absolutely no connection."
