King grants audience to Azmin at Istana Negara
Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah has granted an audience to Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali at Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur.
The minister revealed this in a Twitter posting this evening.
Thanking Sultan Abdullah for the audience, he said: "I pledge to adhere to the Tuanku's advice and guidance."
However, Azmin, who is also PKR deputy president, did not reveal what was discussed during the meeting.
The minister is currently embroiled in a sex scandal, which he claims is part of a nefarious plot to ruin his political career.
In his subsequent tweets on the audience, Azmin spoke of Sultan Abdullah's special visit to the United Arab Emirates.
The minister said the monarch's visit has provided the impetus to enhance bilateral relations and economic cooperation between the two nations.
"The Ministry of Economic Affairs will seize opportunities presented by the fruitful Special Visit by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong," he added.
Last week, unknown individuals leaked several sex clips via Whatsapp groups in which journalists and PKR members were added.
Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz has since claimed that he is the person in the video and that the other individual was Azmin.
He claimed that the alleged incident took place in Azmin's hotel room during the Sandakan by-election last month.
Police are currently investigating the sex scandal and are in the process of determining if the clips are authentic.
