Seven districts in Klang Valley to face up to three-day water disruption
Klang Valley residents will face up to three days of water disruption beginning July 23 for scheduled maintenance works to the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1) Water Treatment Plant.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) announced today that the districts of Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Langat will be affected.
Taps will be turned off beginning 9am on July 23. Water supply will be restored between 9pm on July 25 and 9pm on July 26 depending on location.
Affected areas are listed on the Syabas website.
The water disruption is a continuation of maintenance works being carried out on water treatment plants across Selangor.
In April, maintenance works were carried out on the Sungai Selangor Phase 2 (SSP2) Water Treatment Plant.
As a result, users in Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Shah Alam, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Gombak faced water disruption for up to three days.
