KLIA systems disruption affects credit card transactions
The temporary systems disruption at the main terminal of the KL International Airport (KLIA) has affected credit card transactions at the retail and food and beverage outlets, said Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB).
The airport operator said the KLIA2 terminal, however, is not affected by the system glitch.
“We urge passengers to use cash instead. Please look out for the ATMs or the Bureau De Change should you need to use the ringgit, our local currency,” it said in a Twitter post.
Earlier, MAHB announced that 20 flights were delayed due to the KLIA systems disruption, including those bound for Narita, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Jakarta, London, and Hong Kong.
The disruption, which started last night (Aug 21), had affected several airport systems such as WiFi connection, flight information display System, check-in-counters and the baggage handling systems.
