Malaysian Lee Choon Ping has been sentenced to two months prison and a US$6,000 fine for an act of video voyeurism aboard a United Airlines flight from San Diego to Houston.

A judge in Houston sentenced Lee (above) who pleaded guilty and could face deportation after serving his sentence, according to a report on ABC News

The US Justice Department said Lee acknowledged installing a camera in the first-class bathroom of the United Airlines flight on May 5.

A female passenger found the device, with a blinking blue light, dangling near the door.

Lee was identified through his clothing and jewellery in images captured on the device.

He has been in custody since his arrest on Aug 7 and as he is not a US citizen, Lee is expected to face removal proceedings, according to the Justice Department.
