Dr M goes horseback riding after drizzle offers respite from haze

In his latest short video, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has traded in a bicycle to go horseback riding.

A two-minute clip on his blog chedet.org shows the prime minister taking an early morning ride at the Universiti Putra Malaysia Equine Centre.

While API readings in the Klang Valley have ranged from 82 to 99, just a shade under the unhealthy category, Mahathir took advantage of light rain to enjoy his ride.

The 94-year-old wore a face mask to protect him from the worst effects of the haze.

He also fed his trusty steed some carrots and posed with a few well-wishers who spotted him

“Horseback riding is a kind of therapy for me,” said the prime minister on his official Twitter account @chedetofficial.
