Student leader detained as cops disperse rally in support of UM VC
A female student association leader was detained by police during a peaceful protest to show solidarity towards University Malaya's vice-chancellor Abdul Rahim Hashim this afternoon.
The incident happened in front of the university's main gate about 2.30pm when a police officer ordered speakers at the rally to stop and disperse.
