Protest staged in London over LTTE-related arrests in Malaysia
Unhappy over the arrests of 12 individuals under charges of purported links to defunct terrorist group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a group staged a demonstration outside the Malaysian High Commission in London yesterday.
The protest, held at 4pm yesterday in Belgrave Square, was attended by nearly 100 members of the Tamil community who claimed that the arrests of 12 people, including two DAP state representatives, G Saminathan and P Gunasekaran, was illegal.
