Haniff told to quit as Perda chairperson for being Yusoff Rawther's lawyer

Although lawyer Haniff Khatri Abdulla (above, left) has dismissed speculation that places him as the link between his client Yusoff Rawther (above, right) and Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, criticism against him continue to pour in.

In Bukit Mertajam today, old time (Pro '98) supporters of Anwar Ibrahim questioned Haniff about harbouring “higher ambitions” in appearing as counsel for Muhammed Yusoff Rawther.

Yusoff, 26, created waves when he accused Anwar of sexual misconduct in his statutory declaration, which the PKR president has denied.
