Ministers on billboards - Gov't not about building personality cult, says Kadir
Veteran newsman A Kadir Jasin (above) has criticised billboards featuring the faces of ministers.
Kadir, who is the special media adviser to Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, said such billboards would do better to promote the government's agenda.
Kadir, who is also a Bersatu supreme council member, said this after sharing billboards of Education Minister Maszlee Malik and Rural and Regional Development Minister Rina Harun.
"Better to promote the government's agenda than the faces of ministers.
"Better to feature the people taking part in the government's agenda than the ministers posing for the photographers.
"The government is about the people and not about ministers building a personality cult or the civil servants buttering the bread on both sides," Kadir said in a Facebook post.
He added that the government should promote greater egalitarianism instead of bureaucracy and feudalism.
