The Deputy Prime Minister's Office today denied appointing a man, identified as Raymond Cheah, as an advisor to Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
"Any dealings involving this individual have nothing to do with Dr Wan Azizah or the Deputy Prime Minister's Office," a statement posted on Dr Wan Azizah's Facebook page read today.
A spokesperson from the DPM's office said a police report was lodged today as the man had tarnished the image of the Deputy Prime Minister's Office.
The Facebook post also included a photograph of the man's fake business card.
"We received many enquires from the public checking about the individual and they sent us the name card," said the spokesperson.
"We tried calling the numbers on the card, but the calls were denied."
