Zuraida's supporters planning solidarity gatherings in 10 states
Supporters of embattled PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin are expected to participate in solidarity gatherings in 10 locations across the country tomorrow as she visits the party HQ to answer a show-cause letter issued by its disciplinary board.
Zuraida's office notified the press that she would be present tomorrow at 12.30pm to respond to the show-cause letter.
She has so far declined to divulge the reasons for the show-cause letter but hinted that it had something to do with a fiery speech she made during a gathering of PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali's supporters at Renaissance Hotel last month.
The notification also included an invitation to cover solidarity gatherings in Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu, Penang, Perlis, Kedah, Malacca, Perak, Johor and Negri Sembilan simultaneously at 1pm.
On Jan 17, two groups of PKR supporters faced off outside the party headquarters in Petaling Jaya as party leaders met for the monthly Central Leadership Council meeting.
In another development, Zuraida, who is also Ampang MP, has been issued with a letter of demand by party secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution for alleged defamation.
