Three including two children injured in shooting in Pulau Gaya

Two children and a man were injured after an unidentified man opened fire on a bridge at Kampung Lok Urai in Pulau Gaya, Kota Kinabalu last night.

Kota Kinabalu district police chief Habibi Majinji said the incident occurred at about 7pm.

He said the victims, aged three, 10 and 36 had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.

"All of them are reported to be in stable condition and we are still investigating the motive of the incident," he said when contacted today.

Habibi said police had identified the location where the suspect believed to be in hiding.

A manhunt had also been launched to nab the suspect, he added.
