Dadi Cinema, China's second-largest cinema chain, will take Golden Screen Cinemas's (GSC) place at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
This is after GSC yesterday announced that it was shutting down its cinema complex at Pavilion KL effective Feb 17 after 12 years in operation there.
Its replacement, Dadi Cinema, will see the chain's first cinema complex in Malaysia.
"Scheduled to open in Q3 2020, Dadi Cinema will bring a fully immersive and premium cinematic experience to our moviegoers.
"This is in line with Pavilion KL's effort to continuously bring innovative retail and entertainment brands to the Malaysian market," Pavilion KL said in a statement today.
