Ex-Selangor MB Khalid ready to help new gov’t if needed

Former Selangor menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has expressed his willingness to assist the new Perikatan National (PN) government, should his services be required.

In a social media posting, he said he expected the current political struggle over the shift in government to be challenging.

“I am sure is it very challenging and requires the intent as well as a strong will to unite the (Malay-Muslim) race.

“Without the right intention and commitment, I believe the current struggle will not end well.

“If needed, I am ready to help and serve,” he posted on Facebook today while reminiscing on a recent visit by PAS President Hadi Awang.

“I took the opportunity to congratulate Tuan Guru (Hadi) for being a part of the solution to settle the national leadership polemic last week which saw the formation of a new government.”

He added that it is important for PAS to take this opportunity to build the people’s trust as an honest, efficient and transparent government, as part of the new coalition.
