New finance minister to focus on challenges, not politics

Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said his focus as the next finance minister is on the economic challenges ahead.

Speaking to reporters after his swearing-in as a senator, Zafrul stressed that he was not a politician, to which he was asked if he can keep politics out of the finance ministry.

"I hope so. I think what we need now is to focus on the challenges ahead and I'm sure you know what the challenges are in terms of the economy...
