Business premises in KT, Kuala Nerus to operate 7am to 6pm - Mayor
CORONAVIRUS | Starting today, all business premises in Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus will only be allowed to operate from 7am to 6pm daily in line with the implementation of the movement control order to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Kuala Terengganu mayor Shahidan Embok said premises involved in essential services will also be allowed to operate during that period only.
“Additionally, all restaurants, eateries, food stalls, petrol stations and convenience stores including 7-Eleven are also subject to the same instructions, which is to operate only from 7am to 6pm including drive-thru services.
“Services that offer vehicle repair and maintenance, on the other hand, are only allowed to operate from 9am to 2pm,” he said.
He said all clinics are allowed to operate from 7am to 9:30pm, while the Gong Pauh Wholesale Market can operate from 3am to 9am.
“This directive is in line with Act 342, the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and the Police Act 1967 and is subject to changes from time to time. Failure to comply with this directive is a criminal offence and could be imprisoned for up to two years or fine or both,” he explained.
