This article is 4 years old

CORONAVIRUS | In contrast to the chaotic scenes on the night of March 17 where people crowded bus stations, police stations and supermarkets before a partial lockdown, thus increasing the risk of Covid-19 spread, the government is now planning ahead by anticipating large crowds at banks once salaries are paid out later this month.

Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is also a coordinating senior minister, advised the public not to crowd banks and stressed that social distancing measures must be enforced.
