MP pleas for public donation to help needy affected by MCO, Covid-19
CORONAVIRUS | After the federal government allegedly stopped channelling allocations to opposition MPs, Petaling Jaya representative Maria Chin Abdullah is now turning to the public for donations to fund assistance for her constituents who have been economically affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.
In a statement, Maria said her service centre had so far extended financial assistance to some 500 individuals who have been impacted by the government's movement control order (MCO), which was implemented from March 18 and initially set to end this March 31.
